About the Artist |

Jacky “JAXTM” Niven, formerly Jacky Webb was born in 1968 and grew up in Manchester. In the late 1980’s she enjoyed modest success with her Artworks working as a commercial illustrator and undertaking commissions for portrait work.
A career change in 1992 led her to leave Manchester for Scotland where the abundant and glorious wildlife has proven to be her inspiration.
During the past five years, Jacky has been working as a Tutor of young people with challenging behaviour and physical barriers to overcome. Using Art, Media & Music she found ways of engaging and connecting with the teenagers where traditional education had fallen short.
Now married, Jacky is a full-time Artist producing works inspired by the local Wildlife, Agriculture & Landscape. Her works have sold locally and throughout the UK and overseas. Working mainly in oils, her style is a modern take on impressionism capturing the every changing mood of the climate and her surroundings.
